What are SAQs?
A unique and effective e-Learning
tool for individual development
The Peter Honey online self-assessment
questionnaires (SAQs), are unique, effective development
tools and are an example of e-Learning at its most practical.
Developed by Peter Honey – co-author, over 20
years ago, of the famous ‘Learning Styles’
questionnaire – they are split into two groups:
The ‘Behaviour Series’
(33 questionnaires) which will enable staff in your
organisation to identify their personal training needs
in up to as many as 33 different behavioural competencies:
And the ‘Learning Series’
– 5 questionnaires that aim to make people better
all-round learners.
What do the SAQs deliver?
SAQs deliver immediate
personal feedback for each completed questionnaire
and provide a tailored individual
development plan that can be tracked and managed
online. Furthermore, being hosted over the Internet,
results are benchmarked against averages in the SAQ
database, which is compiled from the completed questionnaires
of thousands of people worldwide. This benchmarking
data can also be presented just for staff in your company.
Assess training needs for individuals,
departments or your complete organisation!
Not only are the Peter Honey SAQs a powerful
training tool for individuals, they are also one of
the most effective and simple to use training-needs-analysis
tools for organisations.
Imagine if you arranged for groups
of staff to complete the questionnaires – from
small project teams, to large divisions perhaps, or
even your whole organisation! All the resulting data
is automatically added to your database, with the result
that hard data about trends and skill gaps for people
in your organisation is revealed.
Peter Honey SAQs – completed
any place, any time.
The Peter Honey SAQs are hosted over the
Internet in a web site that we can customise for you,
to show your company’s identity. As it will be
password protected, nobody from outside your organisation
will be able to gain access to it and therefore nor
will outsiders be able to see the data. Having the SAQs
online means that your staff will be able to complete
them at any time that suits, as long as they have access
to an internet connection. As each questionnaire takes
around just ten minutes to complete, finding the time
shouldn’t be difficult!
